Hot steamy and mildly erotic. (Oh you naughty girl!)

Another surprise was while reading the back of the book with the reviews and short description of the book was to see my name and The Simple Witch printed with the review (partial) that we did on her second book.

There are so many books written for the Wiccan to read. Have you been searching for a book that has the information on the topics that you are interested in? Especially if you are new to the path, you need, or rather want to gain as much information on the basics. Such as tools, elements, invocations and much more. Yet a lot of books leave you hanging to dry only giving you short descriptions of what you need to start out with.

Not so with the Wicca Handbook. This has chapter after chapter of resource material that you need. Answers to your questions on Witchcraft or Wicca so it covers that basics for you.

Often time these individuals that are in dire need of answers can not find them. Many are solitaires and have no one to rely upon for answers. Opening this book, flipping the pages they will find their answers.

Ms. Holland has written this book in clear and concise guide for all to read. Making the writing personal not impersonal as many I have read. She has written in such a manner that it makes you feel as though she is talking directly to you, nearly in the same room. Which I found refreshing.

Starting with a sincere forward by Raymond Buckland, the book allows the reader to travel into the world of the Wiccan finding the ways easily explained.

Chapter by chapter I found it a wealth of information not only for the novice but a refresher for the saged practioner as well. Truthfully, I found a few chapters that I had forgotten about and it was nice to have my memory jogged once again.

I particularly enjoyed the chapter on Blue Justice. Along with the tell all personal side the working that was presented was one in which I have not ever seen.

I urge readers to add this to their book collections. As this is surely a handbook that from page to page will be well used.

And yes there are spells inside for those that find this important!

From one reader to the next I recommend this book to all. I wil be placing this on my student book list as well.

Updates & November Issue Topics

Nine days into the month already! It is not uncommon to see the beautiful red Cardinal or the colorful Blue Jay. We have a run of the mill bird feeder that we put up so they would be able to find food in the Fall and especially the harsh winter that we tend to have. We did have a small Hummingbird feeder for awhile but somehow during one of our wind storms it was whisked away never to be seen again.

In looking for a replacement I wanted to find something that was unique in the way in which it is constructed. Finding normal looking plastic hummingbird feeders is something that you can find all over. Yet I would rather have something that when we look at it out our window it wows us.

While browsing at the numerous feeders on the site Bird Feeders I found many that would fit the bill perfectly for our yard and as our eye candy. One that I absolutely fell in love with is called the Birdscapes® Garden Ballet™ Small Hummingbird Feeder Mobile.

When the winds are blowing this would be so pretty to look at. Not to mention seeing the birds as they sway a long with the feeder in obtaining their treats.

This particular feeder has the qualities that I have been looking for such as:

30 oz. total nectar capacity
3 rugged tempered glass nectar containers
Easy to fill and clean

You can't ask for anything better than that! Of course I will have to remember to remove it when the harsh winds start back in. I have sent this site along with the link to my daughters as a Christmas gift idea for me

So if you are looking for a unique and well made Humming Bird feeder you might take a peek at the different designs that they have. With the planning of the dinners, parties and decorating it leaves little time to really think of a unique gift or gifts for our friends and loved ones.

This year, my youngest is having Photo Calendars printed with herself and Jeremy. Since this is his first Christmas the calendars will be treasured for years and years to come.

Since Vista Print has been used numerous times in our household for business cards to stamps, this was the first place that she thought of to get these printed at. With their easy to use site generating all types of personalized gifts, cards, or you name it is a snap. Giving you complete and easy to understand instructions on anything that you are doing. I think that is one of the reasons that I started using them years ago. Each time I ordered business cards or other stationary that I needed it turned out perfectly. Quality work and paper at a very low reasonable cost. Whenever I need something printed I try to utilize their site. I know what to expect from them and that is nearly the best.

If you are looking for something that is unique for someone a photo calendar might be just the right gift for them. The October Issue of the Simple Witch is on time and set for general distribution on Friday, October 24th. The issues should all be mailed out no later than Tuesday.

What a great issue this has been. I think that it actually surpasses last years issue that was published.

We all had great times throwing back and forth ideas for our valued readers. Some made it in the publication while sad to say others I just could not justify putting in.

Now, with that being said guess what? It's time for working on the November issue!!!!!!!!!!

Jewelry: Out Or In?

Have you ever wondered what is the right way in which to wear your magical jewelry? Should you wear it on the outside or tucked safely away from prying eyes?

Actually there is no right or wrong way to wear your jewelry. Yet it is a rule of thumb that you should not let anyone touch your jewelry if it is worn on the outside. You do not want another's energy good or bad to be imprinted or the worse case they are an empath wanting to know something about you for a purpose that is not in your best interest. Yes, people do that.

I was taught that for special pieces of jewelry that was charged with various tasks to wear it tucked under my clothing that way nobody would see it nor take the chance in touching. I do have jewelry that I wear on the outside and preventing touching has become second nature to me.

Usually a nice little manifestation has already been placed on the item. Where it is seen but not seen. Cloaked by the normal persons sight. For those pieces that I have not done this to, or for those in the occult that have the ability to see through cloaking a slight hand movement is only needed. It is a non intrusive mannerism that you can practice by a gentle move of your hand to theirs.

Or you could say something like you would prefer that they not touch the necklace, ring whatever it is. Usually people just look a little oddly at you then nod like OK.

You may opt for the pentagram jewelry that is on the opposite side of the item. Such as a ring with a stone on top and the pentagram either on the sides or underneath the stone. Nobody sees it.

A necklace that the main design is on the front and the reverse has the pentagram on it. Never to be seen yet worn in the open. I have a beautiful onyx sterling setting necklace that I have had for many years that has the pentagram on the reverse side. I do get a lot of looks and compliments as it is beautiful. Never would they guess what is on the other side!
I rarely if ever wear the ring I do not like it that well but if I am passing out holiday appetizers and people look at my ring they think that the pentagram is just a design as it is so small on each side.

No matter how you wear your jewelry is up to you. Just try not to have it touched by others.

Entre Card Thank You

I wanted to personally thank all those droppers that kept on dropping even though my drops, well dropped

The past week with being sick I do not really remember dropping very much. Although I did try my body and mind was saying OH HECK NO!

So there went the drops. Today I have tried and tried to finish dropping all three of the sites fully. Especially on those regulars that dropped faithfully and did not miss a beat. Thank you for that! Most are due to the farmers and such that have them to keep the mouse population down in their barns.

So cats are not in short supply here at all. We feed a lot of them as they come over and look terrible at times. Our neighbors do the same thing so we have a lot of them going to house to house much like trick or treating all year round. haha

There are a few that we all have adopted. Naming them and keeping a watch out for them. We have one cat that is an out door in door cat. She had a litter of kittens actually two. One died and so the other one was an only kitten. Now this little orange tabby is hilarious. It figured out how to get into the house. We looked all over the place and there is no way open for any of the animals to get in or out. But this little darling does.

You put it out with its mom and bam there it is sitting on the couch or curled up by the fridge. It has made its mind up that it belongs in the house and we have no say about it at all.

Now that it is no where near swimsuit weather we are winterizing the front area of our enclosed outside patio. This is where the outside animals that know come in and sleep and stay warm when it is snowy out. Food water and blankets for them. Usually they are pretty well behaved so no problems.

What of the little orange tabby kitten? I felt sorry for the little guy tonight sitting in a corner as our cats ignore it. It looked so pathetic sitting there alone. I took it up to my room, gave him or her some frontline plus and checked it out for anything else that it might need. Ninja has a home.

Now the funny thing is I put it on the floor and walked away. The little monster jumped up on my chair in front of the computer and made itself at home. I laughed as that is what the others do. Move your feet, loose your seat.

</rdf:RDF>
