With winter being in full bloom one thing that we might over look and that is keeping our homes smelling nice. Without the options of opening windows sometimes with heaters and wood stoves the air seems stale.

Sprays do not work well as they do not last. Well, for a bit they do but then you are left with that perfume smell that sometimes is terrible.

For those that have wood stoves one great idea is to place a brick or two on top of the stove. Get a heavy pot or pan and fill with water and your favorite simmering scent. It will slowly simmer while the stove is heating. Which will give you a long lasting scent throughout your home.


Just remember to watch the water as it will evaporate with the heat. Just check the water level every time you are adding more wood just like you would check inside your BCBG Max Azria bag of tricks!
