Feels Like Spring-Sort Of

With all the past cold weather and storms that we have been experiencing, this weekend has felt much like spring. Well, sort of. The warmer weather has put spring plungers into some peoples thinking around us here.

Although it was over cast yesterday it did not stop me from harvesting the last of the winter pods that are needed for certain oils and tonics that are used over the summer way into the fall.

It felt good to be out doors experiencing the warmer weather. For those of you that are thinking about spring, this is the time to take a look around you at what the winter still has to offer.

There are certain plants that are used all year round but only bloom in the winter. Start harvesting now so you will not be caught short handed in the hotter months that are coming up. I know that I have my eye on a few of the plants that need to be cut, dried and carefully put away until next winter.

Do it now before Spring is upon us for real!
