We have seen the season pass us by. They come and go as if blown by the winds. With each passing season there are changes that abound. Not only the changes in our Great Mother Earth, but changes within us and the people in our inner circle.

These changes sometimes are not seen as they are gradual, subtle, yet they make an impact on the overall scheme of things.

Why the need to express this seasonal change when we are yet to have one? Changes can be looked at as seasonal. Especially in the magical world that we live in.

Season One: What is going on?

This thought comes to those in the magickal world all the time. Events that shape our lives occur in leaps and bounds. At times these events have such an emotional or physical impact on either us or those we know that we begin to think about what is going on in our lives. Did we do something wrong? Request the wrong request (maybe we used the wrong words)? We try to explain to ourselves what is happening in reasonable logical thoughts. Doesn’t always work, but we try our best. The event has occurred and there is no going back. We can only try to soothe our emotions with explanations.

Season two: Why is this happening?

All to many times we ask ourselves this one. Why is this happening to me, to my friend, to my loved one. Doubts enter that may shake our very belief structure we have built. For if there is indeed a god/goddess that we have dedicated ourselves to, then why are they letting this happen in our lives? We begin to go over each and ever thing that we have done over a period of time. Trying to find a clue as to what we may have done. We sit and ponder the finer points in our religious training. Re-reading past books, notes you name it, seeking the answer that does not seem to come. The event doesn’t seem fair, but then it never does when in it is personal.

Season three: What is the solution?

Now it is time to reason. No more emotion simply logic will do here. Yes, this has happened. Yes, we will find a way to make it better, resolve it or survive.
This is where we as practioner's have raised our heads once more to look above for answers. We pray, make requests for signs as helping to guide us back on the path. There are no more placing false blame, there is only you and the chosen ones you believe in. As we place our full trust in them as we have done for many years, we know that they will give us an answer. It may not be the answer we are looking for or want but we will get that sign. It may take forever, well maybe days or weeks in reality, but the sign will come.
Once we have again opened our eyes, ears and hearts we are now prone to receiving what we need. You will find in this season you have become calmer of mind. Thoughts are not jumbled but becoming clearer. You are beginning to see the why and what. It is our faith in the Gods and Goddesses that have brought us back to the place where we will begin to see and hear the answers to any dilemma presented.

Season Four: The Outcome

Now that we have once again regained our inner composure, we have a better grip on the event and how to handle it. No, the sign may not have come yet, but deep in our heart of hearts we know it will be there. We must use what we have and know in the “now". There is no time to sit and whine and cry, only time to act.

When we use the knowledge by our Craft, the aged ways of old helps with the outcome. Sometimes we must fall apart in order to come together (balance in a way only a Chaotic would understand). Things do happen for a reason. Are we always supposed to know this reason? I think we are not. Events that occur shape us into what we are, what we will become. At times these are purely tests presented to us to see how strong our beliefs are. Not only in our Gods and Goddesses, but ourselves as well. Testing to see if we will do the right things when given a choice to sway to the other side.

Many will fail these tests. They will fall apart never to be put back together again. They may walk away from their Gods and Goddess thinking they were let down. In fact they were the ones to let the Gods/Goddesses down. We have good times and bad, yet the bottom line, it is us that makes the final outcome. We who practice the Craft and live by our own codes. If we believe in our way, as we proclaim, then we will be fine.

Each of us has had things happen in our lives that tested our belief, our magickal abilities and our ways. Let these events roll over you as the wind blowing through the meadows. Call upon the greatest ability that is there, the power within yourself to overcome whatever season is upon you.

For with each passing day, there is a new season ahead. One that holds promise of new things. A greater respect and love by the Gods and Goddesses will be shown to you. As you are their children, sons and daughters, this re-kindling of love is shown due to your choice to stay on the path, never wandering. Pride will be felt by them and they shall shower you with golden light which will bless you.

Let the seasons come and go. With the turning of each season we will gain wisdom, which is the right step on the road to enlightenment.
