I think that the funniest emails that receive are those that ask how we come up with the topics each month. Or do we ever run on empty coming up with zero thoughts. One way that we come up with the topics each month is we get comfortable in my home theater seating in my Great Room. Yep, that is what we do. haha Sitting around talking about the various topics that we each have thought of during the month. Each staff member is assigned a Thought Book to use. In this book they are to place ideas or even an outline of a proposed article they wish to write for our publication. Now, some ideas are not appropriate and are axed right then and there as they are meant as a joke or to raise my eye brows. The books are one of our best tools especially during our once a month pow wow that we throw. Do we ever run out of thoughts?? No. Plain and simple. Sometimes there are more ideas than the issue can carry. So what happens next is that we will utilize these topics in our special issues. Pretty simple really. A bunch of whacked out writers sitting around throwing out ideas at one another.
