August: Another Time For Cleaning

Now why would we bring up cleaning in August? Actually at the beginning of every new month a cleansing of sorts might be thought of in your home or even place of employment.

Each month as the days go by there are negative energies that seem to lay around and pile up. Think of it as your laundry. Yes, look at that pile laying there. Your first instinct is to wash it, neatly fold and place it in the proper places in your drawers and closets.

A cleansing in your personal space(s) should be the same way. Picking up the negative pile of energy and cleansing it up and away! Brightening your self and space for another month. Starting with positive and clean energy to give you that extra boost of lightness around you and your things.

There are many ways in which to cleanse your space(s). Do what your instincts tell you to do. There are some that have a huge, elaborate ritual in order to rid the home/office of negative energy. While this is fine if you are able to do this a simple way might be more appropriate and will have the same end result.

A few simple ways are:

Sweeping your area and cleaning it well. Thinking all the while of the negatives to flow outward
Lighting some incense resin or sticks of Frankincense, myrrh or sage just to name a few wonderful cleansing incenses.
Asking your deities to embrace the negative energy and help to rid them away from you and your space

Those are only three that are easy, or simple

Cleaning your area once a month is a practice that will come to you like clock work when you really begin to practice this.

A clean area is a happy area

In the book I'm studying right now, The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity, she talks about cleaning as a way to attract prosperity. She calls it the vaccumn law. Basically if your house is overflowing with stuff, then where will new and better stuff go? But if you clean out the things that are no longer needed or wanted, then there will be a space... that space will suck something new into it. And if you're thinking positively and prosperously, then good things will be sucked into the empty space!

Good advice. An actual physical cleaning helps unclutter the mind and helps a person remain positive I believe.

I really agree about this. Once upon a time I had lots of things happen that caused a drain on us financially, just small things, but they all really mounted up. I did the cleaning thing, made space, threw old things out and I believe it really helped. I also repainted in fresh colours.

Now, I live with a partner who cannot do this, in his home. He cannot "throw" out but stock piles, keeping just everything, including his mothers bits and pices and her furniture. It is so hard to clean and make things sparkle! Interestingly, i have found that as he treads along his pathway, mnost things he tries are "blocked" or have obsticles, and he is rarely happy. I am sure it is to do with the stockpiling of things and long to revamp our home...
